Dara Park Stud
About Dara Park Stud
Dara Park Stud commenced operating in 1981 with the purchase of the partbred Arabian mare, Jimundi Gypsana. The first purebred Arabian mare was purchased soon after and so began our journey with the Arabian horse. Back then the stud operated under the name of Aratar Arabians.

Situated on 60 lush acres in the township of Bunyip, Victoria, Dara Park breeds mostly purebred Arabians. We utilise the best stallions of the El Shaklan bloodline and recently we have added straight Egyptian blood through the stunning imported straight Egyptian stallion, Al Kha-Zar (imp USA). However, we also consistently seek out outcross stallions to further enhance our breeding.

Whilst we focus on the breeding of purebred Arabians, we also breed top quality ponies and quarabs. These horses have moved onto dressage and endurance careers with the likes of Dara Park Tequila Sunrise having far exceeded expectations and becoming one of Australia's leading dressage ponies.

Our horses combine extreme type with the trainability and conformation required of top level performance horses in showing, dressage and endurance. We start our babies off as halter show horses and then continue on by introducing them to saddle work any time after three years of age.  Many of our youngsters have been sent off into the endurance world with some having been exported to places such as Malaysia.
